Starlis Blaise began her career in the automotive industry in 2005 at Capitol City Nissan. It was there where she received multiple promotions and began learning all aspects of the service department.  The values, hardworking, and persevering through tough times, that she learned from her parents came in handy. She took these values into adulthood where she became an expert problem solver. Now, she is the proud owner of a warranty administrative service company, a logistics company, and a heavy-duty diesel facility.

Her journey in the trucking industry began in 2020 when she purchased her first truck. Under the tutelage of her mentor (Four Fourty Trucking) she was able to amass a fleet of 6 trucks in a span of 2 years. Within that short period of time, she was able to see her biggest cost was going towards maintenance. The problem solver that was instilled in her by her parents, forced her to find a solution.

The most viable solution seemed to perform her own maintenance and fixing them on her own was far beyond the scope of her expertise. She then put her extensive automotive expertise and trucking knowledge together to bring forth the answer to her problems! A heavy-duty diesel shop, which would be a full-service facility repairing heavy duty diesel trucks.

The name 16th Phase Diesel was chosen to commemorate the most pivotal part of her life. At the tender age of 16, she became pregnant and thought her life was over, not realizing it was just the beginning. Herself and so many others have had a traumatic and/ or life changing event happen to them at this age; therefore, she felt compelled to name her business after this phase of her life.
